Why a Korea number is hard to do without

South Korea runs on its own apps, and almost all of them ask for a Korean phone number. Marketplaces, delivery, gaming and ticketing services send verification codes to +82 mobile numbers and often to nothing else, which is why foreigners, Korean expats and overseas businesses all end up looking for one. A Korea virtual number lets you open and keep those accounts from outside the country.

For a business, a +82 number is the local contact Korean customers and partners expect. Seoul concentrates head offices, agencies and the tech industry; Busan is the port and the second city. A Korean line for sales, sourcing or customer support makes your company reachable without a Korean entity or office. Korea's own messaging app is the default channel there and asks for a phone number at sign-up; we do not promise it accepts any given number, so ask first if it is the reason you want one.

Mobile or VoIP: which Korea number to rent

Choose a mobile number if the number will be used for verification, Telegram, WhatsApp or any app that checks the carrier type before sending a code. Korean mobile numbers start with 010 and sit on real carrier ranges. Korean services are known for strict checks, and some ask for identity verification beyond an SMS code; we cannot promise acceptance by any specific app, so tell us which service matters and we will say honestly whether our numbers have worked for it.

Choose a VoIP number for a business line or support desk where you mostly make and take calls over the internet and the carrier type does not matter. It is the cheaper option, but it is not the right pick for sign-ups. Local city numbers are not offered in Korea; a +82 mobile or VoIP number works nationally, for Seoul and Busan alike.

What your Korea virtual number can do

Receive unlimited inbound SMS in your dashboard or forwarded to your email, including verification codes from Korean apps and marketplaces. Make and receive calls from the app on any device, with the +82 number as caller ID, or forward calls to the mobile phone you already carry in any country. Register a mobile number on WhatsApp Business or Telegram to talk to Korean customers and suppliers.

The number stays yours for as long as the rental is active. We do not recycle Korean numbers between customers mid-term, so the accounts you attach to it keep working month after month and a yearly term renews on the same number.

Pricing and terms for Korea numbers

Korea virtual numbers start at $19.99 a month on a monthly term. Korean numbers are in higher demand than most and priced accordingly, and mobile numbers cost more than VoIP because supply on verified mobile ranges is tighter. A three-month term is 10% off and a twelve-month term is 25% off.

There are no setup fees and no contract beyond the term you choose. Inbound SMS is included; outbound calls and SMS are billed per use at Korean rates. Cancel at the end of any term, free of charge. Stock is confirmed by email before you pay, so you are never charged for a number we cannot provision.

Korea virtual numbers, answered

The questions we get about South Korea numbers before people order.

Will a Korea virtual number receive verification codes from Korean apps?
Most apps and marketplaces send an SMS code to any Korean mobile range and our numbers receive it. Some Korean services go further and ask for identity verification tied to a Korean resident, which a rented number cannot satisfy. We cannot promise acceptance by any specific app; tell us which one matters before you order and we will say honestly whether it has worked.
Why are Korean numbers more expensive than US or UK numbers?
Korean carriers release relatively few numbers to providers and demand from businesses and expats is high, so wholesale prices are higher. We pass that through rather than lower the price with shared inboxes or recycled numbers, which is what gets ranges blocked. VoIP numbers are the cheaper option if you only need calls.
Can I use the number for a business in Seoul?
Yes. A VoIP number gives you a +82 business line for calls over the internet from any country, and a mobile number adds WhatsApp Business and Telegram on top. Teams share one inbox, rent several numbers on one account and receive one invoice. Tell us the number is for business when you order and we set up forwarding from the start.
Do I need a Korean ID or address?
You need an email address and a payment method. We do not require a Korean address. Where the carrier behind a particular number asks for the user's name or company before releasing it, we tell you before you pay and collect it by email, and we never ask for more than the carrier needs.
